
A day in Çankırı: from the castle to the madrasas
A walk starting on the castle hill where the tomb of Emir Karatekin stands; after the four-faced clock tower, the Büyük Mosque (Great Mosque) built by order of Süleyman the Magnificent, the Çivitçioğlu Madrasa dated 1754 and the Buğday Pazarı Madrasa where handicrafts are displayed, it ends at the provincial museum in the old Government House.
