Öresin Han
Merkez, Aksaray
A small Seljuk han on the Aksaray–Nevşehir road, also called 'Tepesi Delik Han' (Han with a Hole in the Top) for its courtyardless plan and the light opening at its top.
Its story
Since the han has no inscription, its patron and exact construction date are unknown; it is dated to the Seljuk period. The small structure, built without a courtyard of cut and reused stone, has a plan that differs from the standard layouts: two long halls intersecting in the middle create a central arrangement. The opening at the top of the dome over the intersection gave the han its popular name. It lies about 24 km from Aksaray; access to the interior may vary.
