Its story
After being used for many years as an excursion spot, Çamkoru was declared a nature park in 2008. The roughly 215-hectare area lies in the belt where the Central Anatolian steppe gives way to the North Anatolian forests and is covered with natural Scots pine and black pine forests. The small pond in the middle of the park, with wooden viewing areas and walking paths around it, is the most visited part. Tent camping, picnicking and nature walks are possible; in spring the endemic Ankara crocus blooms. In autumn the colors of the deciduous species add a special beauty to the forest.
