MTA Şehit Cuma Dağ Natural History Museum

A museum on the campus of the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration presenting the earth sciences through fossils, minerals and dinosaur reconstructions.
Its story
The museum is located on the campus of the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA). Its halls display mineral and rock samples collected from different parts of Turkey, fossils, skeletons of mammals that lived in Anatolia and life-size dinosaur models. Fossil elephant skulls and meteorite samples are also among the eye-catching pieces. With its layout explaining the earth sciences visually, it suits school trips and families with children. The Energy Park in its garden has open-air exhibits on mining and energy.
