Queen Ada's city on the hill above Karpuzlu, with its multistory market building and theater.
Its story
Alinda is a Carian city on the slopes just above the Karpuzlu district center. The city is known as the place where Queen Ada of Caria lived in exile and welcomed Alexander the Great. The multistory market building, about 100 meters long, the well-preserved theater and the tower remains on the acropolis are striking. There is a wide view over the Karpuzlu plain stretching below the city.
