Its story
The museum operates in the historic wooden house where Kemal Samancıoğlu was born and grew up. Besides Samancıoğlu's belongings, the house displays about 700 ethnographic works donated by Bartın families. The building is a fine example of the traditional two-story Bartın houses with many windows, set in a garden. It can be toured on foot together with the historic houses of Orta Mahalle.
