Çanakkale Kordon (Waterfront)
Merkez, Çanakkale
A waterfront strip running north from the pier, walked while watching the Strait, the ships and the monuments on the opposite shore.
Its story
The Kordon is a seaside promenade that starts at the Clock Tower and ferry pier and runs north past the Trojan Horse. Being close to the narrowest part of the Strait, it lets you watch large ships passing at very close range. On the opposite shore you can see Kilitbahir Castle and the Dur Yolcu inscription on the hill. The late-afternoon sunset and breezy, cooling air make the Kordon the city's meeting place; with benches, lawns and a bike path, it suits families.
