Its story
Evliya Kasım Paşa Mosque was commissioned in 1478 by Kasım Paşa, who served as vizier in the reigns of Murad II and Mehmed the Conqueror. It is a square-plan, single-domed building of cut stone, with a sundial on its west wall. Most of the steps used by those arriving by river can still be seen. Closed in 1950 because of frequent flooding, the mosque began to be restored in 2024; its surroundings are a quiet walking area on the bank of the Tunca.
