Its story
The center, on the northern foothills of Mount Palandöken about 7 km southwest of central Erzurum, was expanded for the 2011 Winter Universiade. The runs rise from 2,200 m to 3,176 m; the runs of varying difficulty, served by gondolas and chairlifts, total about 28 km, and the longest run reaches 12 km. The 'Ejder' and 'Kapıkaya' runs are of Olympic dimensions. The season opens on average between late October and November and can last until early May at higher elevations. As some of the runs are lit after dark, night skiing is possible; the center has been operated by the Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality since 2016.
