Its story
The arboretum was established in Bahçeköy by the İstanbul University Faculty of Forestry and opened to visitors as a scientific garden. Thousands of tree and shrub taxa brought from different parts of the world are displayed around natural-looking lakes and streams. Autumn leaf colors and spring blossoms make the arboretum popular with photographers. Because it is a scientific research area, visiting rules are strict.
