A museum in central Selçuk displaying sculptures, Artemis statues and everyday objects from excavations at Ephesus and its surroundings.
Its story
Located in the center of Selçuk, the museum displays finds from the Ephesus excavations in thematic halls. The best-known works in the collection are the statues of Artemis of Ephesus, depicted with numerous breast-like protrusions. Frescoes, mosaics and household items from the Terrace Houses tell of daily life in the Roman period. Finds from the gladiators' cemetery and statues of emperors also stand out. Visiting before or after touring Ephesus completes the city's story.
