Gryneion Ancient City

A small city of Aeolis known for its oracle of Apollo and white marble temple.
Its story
Gryneion was a city between Myrina and Elaia with a sanctuary dedicated to Apollo. Apollo was worshipped here under the epithet 'Gryneus', and the sanctuary's oracle was well known in the ancient world. Initially independent, the city eventually came under Myrina. Today remains can be seen on a small hill on the shore.
