Nif Dağı (Mount Nif)

A mountain known as Olympos in antiquity, with cherry orchards on its foothills and remains of the ancient city of Nif.
Its story
Nif Dağı rises between Kemalpaşa, Bornova and Torbalı; it is one of the mountains that bore the name Olympos in antiquity. Nif, the old name of Kemalpaşa, also comes from this mountain. Excavations in the higher parts of the mountain have uncovered an ancient settlement and burial chambers. The cherry orchards on its foothills blossom in spring; summit routes offer views of the Gulf of İzmir and the Kemalpaşa plain.
