An ancient city on two hills overlooking the Gulf of Kuşadası, the harbor of Kolophon and Klaros.
Its story
Notion is built on two hills overlooking the sea within the bounds of Ahmetbeyli. The temple dedicated to the city's chief goddess, Athena Polias, stands on the western hill, facing the sea. It served as the harbor of Kolophon and Klaros; in the Byzantine period it was a bishopric. From among the remains you can look out over Ahmetbeyli cove and the Gulf of Kuşadası.
