A giant producers' and crafts market with thousands of stalls, spreading over almost all the town's streets every Tuesday.
Its story
The Tire Market is held every Tuesday and fills the town's streets with more than 1500 stalls. Besides Aegean herbs, fruit and vegetables, dairy products and olive oil, handicrafts such as needle lace (iğne oyası), felt, clogs, pack saddles, tin-plated wares and rope are sold. The market is the most visible proof that traditional crafts are still alive in Tire. It also draws visitors from Selçuk and Kuşadası.
