Its story
The canyons around Safranbolu were formed by streams cutting deeply into limestone layers. Foremost among them, the Tokatlı Canyon, also called İncekaya, has very steep and deep slopes. Above the canyon is the historic İncekaya Aqueduct. Hiking events are organized along the canyon; from the viewing areas on its edge, the depth of the valley and the forests on the slopes can be viewed. Because of its closeness to central Safranbolu, it is suitable for a half-day nature trip.
