Its story
The Aladağlar is a mountain range stretching between the provinces of Kayseri, Niğde and Adana and containing the highest peaks of the Central Taurus. Part of the mountain was first protected as the Hacer Forest Nature Park, and on 21 April 1995 an area of about 55,000 hectares was declared a national park. In the park's Yahyalı section in Kayseri are the Hacer Forest, the Aksu Canyon, the Zamantı Valley and the Kapuzbaşı waterfalls. Cedar, black pine and fir forests offer a rich wildlife with wild goats and various birds of prey; birdwatchers who want to see the Caspian snowcock come to the area especially.
