Its story
The mosque stands on flat ground beside the road in the settlement area of Balışeyh. The walls of the longitudinally rectangular building are of rubble stone, with cut stone used at the corners and window frames. Inside, the wooden posts dividing the aisles perpendicular to the qibla and the ceiling are decorated with ornamentation continuing the Seljuk decorative tradition. As it has no inscription, its construction date is not known for certain; it is dated by its architectural features to the 15th–16th century. The district is known for the legend that it takes its name from 'Balı Şeyh', another name of Şeyh Edebali.
