A historic school building made of red Ankara stone; today used as an art house in the name of the folk poet Hacı Taşan.
Its story
The Taş Mektep (Stone School) is a historic single-story school building in Keskin, built of red Ankara stone. The building has been converted into an art house bearing the name of Hacı Taşan, the folk poet from Keskin considered one of the strongest voices of the bozlak tradition. Work on local music, handicrafts and cultural events is carried out here. The building is a good example of Keskin's plain but careful stone architecture. It can be seen on a short walking route together with the Bedesten and the historic houses.
