Its story
The Sultans' Trail is a walking route from Vienna to Istanbul that follows the staging posts of the 1529 and 1683 Vienna campaigns. The route was designed in 2009, and its Turkish section was waymarked in 2010. In Kırklareli the trail runs between villages such as Kızılcıkdere and Üsküpdere along forest edges and field tracks. It can be walked in daily stages, with village fountains and the Thracian countryside accompanying you along the way.
