Its story
Uzunkum Nature Park is a protected area on Kandıra's Black Sea coast, named after its long sandy beach (uzun kum). The coastal dunes and the wooded area behind them are one of the rare places where the natural coastal ecosystem is protected as a whole. In summer it serves visitors with day-use areas, picnic tables and a beach. The vegetation on the dunes is fragile; only the designated paths should be used. It is close to Cebeci Beach and Kefken Island.
