Its story
Acarlar Longoz is a flooded forest stretching about 24 kilometers behind the dune strip on the Black Sea coast. The forest of ash, alder and climbing plants stays underwater for most of the year and is regarded as Türkiye's largest longoz. The area is an important stopover and breeding ground for more than two hundred species of migratory birds. Its plant diversity is also very rich. Boat trips and observation points on the shore are the best ways to get to know the longoz up close.
