Its story
The Tillo Castle Glass Viewing Terrace was built on the most commanding point of the castle ruins east of the district, overlooking the valley. Built as a joint project of the Tillo District Governorate, the Union for Services to Villages and the Dicle Development Agency, the terrace opened on 11 July 2016; most of its cost was covered by an agency grant. The glass floor, about 7 meters long and 5 meters wide, offers a bird's-eye view of the bends of the Botan Valley. Guide sources describe the terrace as open daily during daytime hours and free; the number of people who can be at the castle at the same time is limited. It can easily be combined on the same day with the tombs in central Tillo.
