Its story
Eğriçimen is about 17 km from the district center, in a valley running southwest–northwest whose slopes are covered with pine forests. The stream formed by the springs coming from the Şaşalağan Gorge and Yedigözeler winds through the meadows, which gave the highland its name (eğri çimen: winding meadow). The highland, said to be at least five hundred years old, has turned into a summer resort with the summer homes of Koyulhisar families since the 1980s. From the Yedigözeler hill at 1800 meters, the Kelkit valley can be seen. The highland also has the Eğriçimen Höyük, said to have been inhabited in the prehistoric period.
