The Kadınlar Highland is about 30 km from the Hayrat district and 4 km from the nearest settlement, the Sarmaşık (formerly Büyükmesoraş) neighborhood. The highland, covering an area of about 10 square kilometers, is used every year between April and October for livestock grazing. After Hayrat separated from Of, the area's tradition of seasonal highland life continued; highlands such as Kadınlar, Büyük Harman and Çunis still come alive in summer. With the nearby Lake Sarmaşık and its wide meadows, it is suitable for a highland walk away from the crowds.
