Its story
Gökçe Dam was built at the foot of the Samanlı Mountains near Termal to supply drinking and utility water to the city of Yalova. The dam lake, together with the beech and chestnut forests around it, forms one of the finest views on the road from Termal toward Üvezpınar and Harmankaya. The mist rising from the lake surface in the early morning hours creates a special atmosphere for photographers. As it is a drinking water source, swimming and water sports are not allowed on the lake. It can be added as a short scenic break to a trip to Termal and Sudüşen.
