Its story
Tekirova Nature Park is a 12-hectare area declared on 20 April 2016; it is 64 km from central Antalya and 20 km from Kemer. Between Karaburun and Tatlısu, it has a 390-meter coastline in a sheltered cove where sea and forest meet, and from here you can see the Üç Adalar (Three Islands), a popular diving spot about 3.7 km offshore. Its ground consists of mafic and ultramafic rocks of the Upper Cretaceous Tekirova ophiolite. 68 taxa have been recorded, including hawthorn, kermes oak, strawberry tree, bay laurel, carob and wild olive, three of them endemic; the fauna is notable for the critically endangered Beldibi salamander and the sea turtle (Caretta caretta). Today the park is visited mostly for day use of the beach; Kleopatra Cove, Atbükü and Maden Cove are worth seeing.
