Its story
Çekirge's hot springs have been used since the Roman and Byzantine periods. Eski Kaplıca (the Old Thermal Bath) is believed to rise on top of a Byzantine-period bath and to have taken its present form in the reign of Murad I. The dome over the hot room, the old columns and the central pool are the most impressive parts of the building. The bath is still operated for bathing today. It is one of the best-known places to experience Bursa's thermal history firsthand.
