Polente Lighthouse
Bozcaada, Çanakkale
A lighthouse at the western tip of the island, where the sunset is watched among wind turbines.
Safety warning
Its story
Polente Lighthouse stands on a rocky slope on Bozcaada's westernmost cape, facing the open Aegean. The road to the lighthouse passes between wind turbines; the wind blowing from the north of the island is felt strongly here. It is the island's most popular spot for watching the sun sink into the sea at sunset. For the return in the evening, plan for light and suitable transport.
