Its story
Sıklık Nature Park is in a forest area at km 7 of the Çorum–Samsun highway, very close to the city center. A 30-hectare section of the area was set aside as a picnic area in 1992; it was declared a nature park in 2009 and enlarged to 318 hectares in 2014. In the fauna introduction area established in 2012, one of the first examples in Türkiye, animals such as red deer, wild goats, roe deer and mountain gazelles can be observed in conditions close to their natural environment; beside it is a 10-meter observation tower. The botanical area where about 5,500 saplings of 165 different species have been planted, viewing terraces, a tea garden, a country restaurant and playgrounds make the park a favorite of families. The Çorum Dam and the city view can be seen from the viewing terraces.
