Eumeneia Ancient City

An ancient Phrygian city at today's Işıklı, named after Eumenes, brother of King Attalus II of Pergamon.
Its story
Eumeneia is a Phrygian city founded on the banks of the Glaukos river, on the road from Dorylaion (Eskişehir) to Apameia. It is said to have been named by Attalus II in honor of his brother and predecessor, Eumenes II. Its remains are in and around today's town of Işıklı. Inhabited in the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods, it also bore the name Fulvia for a time.
