An aviation museum at the Sivrihisar Aviation Center, known as the 'Flying Museum' for its airworthy historic aircraft.
Its story
The M.S.Ö. Air and Space Museum moved in 2018 to the Sivrihisar Aviation Center facilities in the Yeşilköy neighborhood of Sivrihisar. The distinctive feature of the collection is that some of its aircraft are airworthy and take off in displays; for this reason it is also known as the 'Flying Museum'. The exhibition includes aircraft such as the Spitfire Mk. IX, P-51D Mustang, T-6 Texan, the DC-3 'Turkish Delight', which made a world tour in 2017, the Boeing Stearman biplane and the Antonov An-2. Besides the hangars, aviation events and displays are held at the facility. As visiting days and hours may change, check in advance.
