Its story
Armutdüzü is a mountain village about 22 km from the Keşap district center, where Greeks once also lived. It is recorded that the village has three Greek churches and monastery remains; this point shows the church remains on the plain at the Kiliseyanı locality. The village is also known for Şahin Kayası (Falcon Rock), whose shape on the rock face resembles the map of Türkiye and which is registered as a natural asset to be protected. The Şahinkaya Hill area has been declared a sensitive area to be strictly protected. The church remains and the rock can be visited together.
