Its story
Koçkayası was declared a nature park in 2011. The park, at an altitude of about 1,840 meters, is surrounded by peaks such as Göktepe and Çifteyar; the Kara Dere (Kara Creek) runs through it. The area, hosting more than a hundred plant species and a rich vertebrate fauna, is on a bird migration route. Nature walks, cycling, rock climbing and birdwatching are possible.
