Cirimbolu Aqueduct
Uluborlu, Isparta
The surviving section of an arched water channel that carried water to ancient Apollonia.
Its story
The Cirimbolu Aqueduct is part of the system that supplied water to Apollonia, the ancient name of Uluborlu. Its stone arches rise right next to the old settlement, spanning the valley. The structure is a local example of the engineering solutions used to carry water to cities in the Roman period. Together with the castle and the Alaaddin Mosque, it forms a short walking route.
