Its story
The Karabük Clock Tower was erected in memory of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Karabük Iron and Steel Works (Kardemir), one of Türkiye's first heavy industry establishments. Completed on 3 April 1987, the tower is a modern structure with a polygonal shaft. One of the meeting points of the city center, the tower recalls that Karabük is a Republican-era city that grew around the factory.
