Tomb of Aşık Paşa

The tomb over the grave of the 14th-century poet Âşık Paşa (d. 1332), author of the Garibnâme, one of the first great Sufi works in Turkish.
Its story
Âşık Paşa was a Sufi and poet who lived in the late 13th and early 14th centuries and was raised in Kırşehir; his Garibnâme, written in Turkish, is considered an important work in the development of Turkish as a literary language in Anatolia. The tomb built over the grave of the poet, who died in 1332, is in central Kırşehir. It is one of the most important stops of the city's tradition of science, Sufism and poetry, identified with Ahi Evran, Cacabey and Âşık Paşa.
