Its story
The Göksu Delta is one of Türkiye's most important bird areas; it is protected as a wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention and as a Special Environmental Protection Area. Hundreds of bird species have been recorded in the delta, which consists of lagoons, reed beds and dunes; the purple swamphen and flamingos are among the best known. The observation tower within the delta makes it possible to watch the birdlife around the Akgöl and Paradeniz lagoons without disturbing it.
