The ancient Carian city that gave its name to the Gulf of Gökova; its remains are scattered among the houses of Ören.
Its story
Keramos is a Carian city founded on the northern shore of the Gulf of Gökova, where the present-day settlement of Ören stands. The gulf's ancient name, the Ceramic Gulf, comes from this city. The city walls, temple remains and architectural fragments can be seen in and around Ören's old quarter. Ören's stone houses and long beach complete the visit.
