Its story
Gölpınar, north of the city within the boundaries of Karaköprü, is a nature park consisting of a small lake and the wooded area around it; according to the list of the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, it was declared on 11 July 2011. In Şanlıurfa, where a steppe climate prevails, it is one of the few green areas offering shade, a waterside and picnic facilities; on weekends it is a picnic spot popular with local people. It is also suitable for birdwatching and short walks.
