Rüstem Paşa Bedesten
Süleymanpaşa, Tekirdağ
A bedesten with domed and vaulted shops, built in the 1550s as part of the Rüstem Paşa Complex.
Its story
The bedesten was built in the early 1550s to provide income for the Rüstem Paşa Complex. With its stone domes and vaulted shops, it reflects classical Ottoman bazaar architecture. Its shops are still in use today, and together with the Rüstem Paşa Mosque it is a natural stop on the historic walk in the city center.
