Historic Uşak Houses

Two-story Ottoman and early Republican houses in the Kurtuluş and Işık neighborhoods, protected by the Ministry of Culture.
Its story
In Uşak's old neighborhoods, some of the two-story houses continuing traditional Ottoman residential architecture have survived. According to sources, about 86 of these houses are still standing today and are registered by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. On a short walk passing around Cimcim Fountain and Çakaloz Mosque, you can see the houses' bay windows and stone-paved streets. Some are used with new functions such as cafés and information houses.
