Its story
Behramşah Castle is on a high hill north of the village of Muşalikalesi, attached to Akdağmadeni. The castle bears the name of Behramşah, one of the Anatolian Seljuk emirs, and is estimated to have been built in the first half of the 13th century. On its walls, built with cut-stone facing over rubble stone, zigzag patterns formed with brick-like courses stand out. At the western foot of the castle are the Ali Çelebi and Mahmut Çelebi tombs, belonging to the second half of the 15th century according to their inscriptions. Some researchers also associate the area with the Byzantine-period fortress of Charsianon.
