A historic clock tower in the center of old Muğla, where Saatli Kule Caddesi meets Şeyh Camii Sokağı.
Its story
The structure, popularly known as the Saatli Kule, stands in Muğla's Balıbey neighborhood, at the central point of the old town. The tower is mentioned among the buildings given to Muğla by the Greek Orthodox community that lived in the city. It blends with the narrow streets around it, the whitewashed Muğla houses with their chimneys and the arasta. It is one of the natural meeting points of a walk through old Muğla.
